Super F League Announces Opening of a New League in Mansfield, Massachusetts
Mansfield Massachusetts, August 10, 2010
Super F League, the fastest growing futsal organization in the country, has added a new league. The Super F League – New England Futsal Association will begin operations at the Mansfield Sportsplex drawing teams in the Southeastern Massachusetts/Rhode Island area. Julius Summerville and Dave Hamel are directing the league and plan on a two session winter league starting in December 2010.
Julius has a background in soccer for well over 20 years as a player and coach. Julius and Dave are both residents of Attleboro Mass. Julius is the President and founder of Explosion FC soccer club and Dave is the club’s Executive Director and has been with the club since its inception in 2001.
“I am excited to be able to bring the game I love to the players and coaches in the greater Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island area. I have been working with area youths for 10 years, helping to develop their outdoor skills through futsal training. The Super F organization has been great! The support they have provided will allow me to bring futsal to more kids in the area.” Said Coach Summerville.
“With the overwhelming success we have had in teaching our teams to play Futsal, and perform amazingly on the State, Regional, and National levels we have decided to go to the next level and run a league of our own. With the support of such great organizations like Super F Futsal, the Mansfield Sportsplex, and the superb coaches and players in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island we know we have a plan in place for success in this very competitive market. We know the quality of soccer being played in our region will be the biggest beneficial byproduct of our professionally run, competitive league geared towards both town and club levels of play.” Said Dave Hamel.
“Julius, Dave and their league are tremendous assets to the expanding network of our futsal leagues around the country”, said Super F League co-founder and Executive Director, Jon Parry. “Julius’ background as a soccer player, connections with the local soccer market and Dave’s entrepreneurial spirit make for solid foundations to building a successful futsal league. Their passion for the game of futsal makes them a great fit as they work with the soccer coaches and players of Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
“Julius and Dave are the kind of people who we love to have running one of our leagues. They love the game of futsal and will work hard to develop the sport in their area. In working with Julius and Dave I know they will run a high – quality league and tournaments,” says John Sciore, Super F League Director of Development.

My name is Amy Yang, I currently play for the u14G Division 1 team, for Coach Khang and Coach Yang. I am a freshman at Brockton High School, I made the Varsity Team and started at an outside midfield position. I made ODP States and Regionals for the past two years. In July 2009 I got invited to the u14G National Camp as a central midfielder, this camp was very important giving me the chance to be seen by the National Staff and coach. The National Camp was an amazing experience, seeing the top 100 players in the United States. Also the National Camp gave me an opportunity to later playing with the Girls National Team, then the Women's National Team. After National Camp, I got invited to play in Coral Springs, Florida in November of 2009. This event was a tournament playing against the other regions. Recently I went to Costa Rica with my Regional Team in March 2010. The third day there in my first game I got a concussion, but I got the winning goal and MVP. Unfortunately I was done for the week. But, I played my best for the 70 minutes I could play. Currently I am on MA ODP States hoping to make the ODP Regional Team again and getting asked to train with the Girls National Team and later pursue my goals of making the Women's National Team. Explosion ROCKS!! And I thank Explosion Futbol Club for training me to be where I am and achieving my many goals in soccer.
Thanks,
Amy Yang

Billy Bauer had two first half goals that held up thru a furious second half comeback attempt by the 1st place Stingers. Colin Golden got the shutout win between the pipes. Hi Dave
First off I would like to let you know that thanks to Julius and the EFC club management for giving the support that they have giving this team in the past two years. This team would not be where they are today if not because of the the management levels support and the commitments of the parents, the team manager for working so hard to keep everyone inform of what the expectations are for this team.
This team has been together since U11 and had the same 10 core kids playing together since then. The biggest key to our success was team chemistry. As a coaches we have always told the kids that in order for us to be successful "we need to have Confidence in ourself and each other, we needed to learn to play as a Team, and we needed to Trust each other on the field.
We have always set goals for this team every season, and we try to find ways to reach those goals. The girls all season has been very focus and understanding that it is a premier team. Coach fong and myself always mention to them that we need to go out and perform week end and week out not for us, but for the work that their parents go through to get them to the practices and the games. As long as they continue to progress their parents would go above and beyond to get them their.
Our goal going into the season was that we were going to focus on one game at a time, and once the game is over, we did not need to look back, we needed to focus on the next weeks game. As coaches we need to know who our opponents were every week and prepare the kids to know what to expect every week from different teams. Coach Fong and I have placed the ownership on the girls because, we have played these teams for a while now, we told the girls that we needed to pay attention to the opponents weaknesses and strengths and find ways to take advantage of the weaknesses and over come those strenght's. The other thing that made this team successful, we stresses to the parents and kids that "Positive attitude brings positive results and Negative attitude brings negative results" We needed to have positive attitudes and be positive about feed backs to the kids every time they stepped on or off the field.
We have to say that as coaches and parents, we are proud of the accomplishment that this team has done it is do to their CONFIDENCE LEVEL, TRUST, and TEAMWORK.
The teams accomplishment is not based on one or two individual this season but based the the fact the everyone of the girls played a role in each and every game this season. The girls learned to respect one another. They also learned that there is not one player on this team is better than the next and that was the key. We are know looking forward to taking some time off and than resuming in the a few weeks.
Our goal is hoping to get into region one or sub regional and real test ourselves, to see if this team can play at the next level as we know we can play in the premier level with some of the top clubs in Massachusetts. The key here is as the girls are getting older, we have to start looking at how to show case these girls for the future of their soccer careers. Granted not everyone of them have that in mind, but it is our obligation as club owners, managers, and coaches give them the opportunity that they deserve.
Thanks
Coach Mike

My name is Meagan Elliott. I currently play for the U16 Explosion Girls team for Ernie Branco and Julius Summerville. I am a sophomore in high school and play for the Girls Varsity Soccer Team at Norton High School in the Tri-Valley League. This season I was a starting forward for the team. At the end of the season, I had scored 16 goals and had 4 assists, therefore achieving 20 points. At the league's coaches meeting, I was voted the fourth strongest player in my league. I was also in contempt for the MVP of the league, but I lost to another girl, who was a senior. I was also chosen as an Allstar for the league and was the number one Allstar on my team. I was also voted Sun Chronicle's Allstar of the Year and played in the Allstar game on Saturday, November 21, 2009. My team also made it to the State Tournament for the first time in over a decade for Norton Girls Soccer. During our time in the tournament, I scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. In Addition I was this seasons HS team MVP as a sophmore and last years rookie of the year as a freshman.
Thanks
Meagan Elliott

Coach,
I have had many soccer achievements throughout my high school years as an athlete. Before high school, I played Maple D1 since U-11. I played on the Fuller Hamlets for 4 years until the team disbanded. I played Blackwatch Region 1 Super Y for 2 years, and we were the champions of 2007. I played for the Cape Cod Crusaders last year. My acheivements,so far, during my high school soccer career was that I was the top goal scorer my freshman year when I made Junior Varsity. We were the state finalists and division champions. When I was a sophomore on Varsity, I had the top assists in the league, and we were division champions. This year, as a junior on Varsity, the team made it to be division champions again and I had top assists for the second year in a row.
On the field, I play center midfield for my High School team, but also have experience on forward and outside midfield. I will try my best wherever I am placed on the field. I will also try my hardest to satisfy your demands for the teams' overall success. Throw-ins are my specialty, but I can also distribute the ball very well. I will attempt to score at every opportunity given to me. I am not one to complain and I will give 100% of my effort all the time. I am excited to play for you on Explosion FC and make new friends.
Sincerely,
Michaela Connors

Region IV 95s 3, Region I 95s 1
The Region IV 1st half forward line put on a good display of attacking soccer, forging a 3-goal lead that Neil McGuire’s squad would not relinquish on the day. Elizabeth Boon of the Washington club Columbia Premier scored the 1st and 3rd goals for the westerners. The opener came early after Havana McElvaine had made a good run down the right and sent a ground cross through the 6-yard box to where Boon ran onto it and finished. The latter goal was a 35-yard lob as Boon deftly placed the ball over the goalkeeper and under the crossbar. In between, Avalanche Premier’s Emily Bruder scored a good individual goal, cutting through the Region I defense on the dribble before slotting home from inside the penalty area. The 2nd half was much different as a number of Region I subs stamped their imprint on the game, none more so than Boston area attacking midfielder Amy Yang, who showed great imagination and skill both on the dribble and with her passing. Yang definitely changed the complexion of the game, giving the Region IV defense and midfield much more to contend with and less confidence about getting forward.
Yang helped create the lone Region I goal, winning a ball in the forward third against a much bigger player (most everybody on the field was much bigger than the diminutive Yang) and playing a clever pass down the wing for Sasha Gray, who played an accurate flighted cross for Mount Laurel United striker Brittain Dearden, who headed the ball into the back of the net to make it 3-1, which was the final scoreline.

Hi Dave Well Erin and Makayla played on the varsity soccer team for Attleboro HS, only being freshman. They were started. Erin ended up with 11 goals and 3 assist. If you look up soccer standing at Boston.com, Old Colony League, Erin was the second highest scorer. The top scorer only had 7 goals amd 7 assist giving her 14 points and Erin had 13 points. Erin was nominated and played in the Attleboro Sun Chronicle All-Star game in Mansfield, She was nominated onto the Old Colony League All-stars and she was co-winner of Rookie of the year for Attleboro HS with Makayla Mederios. Not bad for a freshman. If you go onto Sun Chronicle.com into the archives and search Erin Woodhead you will find the several newspaper articles for Attleboro HS Soccer, with Erin's name. She was the top scorer for Attleboro HS soccer. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. EFC rocks and I feel without EFC, Erin would have NEVER had such a successful season as she has. Thanks Dave Rich Woodhead
